Updating bios with usb
Apparently they never learn and are instead busy adding features like DRM and UEFI to make our lives even more miserable. However updating the BIOS on my Lenovo X230 laptop was surprisingly easy once I learned how to do that (kudos to a G post I stumbled upon).I want to update BIOS using the supplied ISO image.I want to write this image to a usb and then boot from it, for updating bios. My system is E430, though the question is quite generic.By some estimates, as many as 1/3 of desktop computers sold today are based on an ASUS motherboard. But even well-made gear can use some tweaking if and when compatibility problems arise.
Apart from that, I would have said that this was drive related issue, if there were no two power surges and the USB 3.0 ports stopped working one at a time.
Since I had 2 USB 3.0 Ports, I plugged it in to the other one it it worked after plugging in and out several times..
Now there was a sec power surge and the same thing is happening again on the 2nd port!
if anyone would like to send me in the right direction that would be appreciated!
Since its founding in 1989, ASUS has earned a reputation for producing top-quality motherboards and other components.
If these two does not work, then I guess you need to just borrow an external USB 3.0 drive from somebody and attach it to your system.
